Luca Gunter

Luca Gunter is an English goalkeeper who plays for Tottenham Hotspur, having signed for the club at 15 years old on a 3-year scholarship and joining the Academy Year 1 in 2021/22. He had to wait until 16 October 2021 to make his debut for the U18’s after sustaining an injury while on international duty with England U17s.

In March 2022 Luca’s fine displays managed to earn him his first Pro deal in his career. 

Luca has since played predominantly for the club’s U18 team, making 10 appearances in all competitions this term and recently made the squad for the U23’s

Luca, a local lad from Enfield, was previously with Queen’s Park Rangers. A tall goalkeeper with very good reflexes, he impressed in his debut for Spurs’ U18 side in October 2021 v Stoke City, making a good number of impressive saves during that match for Spurs. A goalkeeper with very good positioning inside his box and also quick on his feet, and capable of making really fine saves.

Luca was one of only two players from his age group to be offered this deal and now trains and plays regularly with the Tottenham U18 squad.

He was originally signed by QPR in January 2015 and then transferred to Spurs in Feb 2018. During this time the talented your keeper won the Golden Gloves in the 2018 San Pellegrino Tournament.
