Ross Doohan

Ross Doohan is a Scottish keeper who plays for Forest Green Rovers, after signing in January 2023 from Tranmere Rovers.

Ross began his career at Celtic and moved on loan to Greenock Morton in August 2017 before returning to Celtic in January 2018. In Aug 20 Ross went on loan again to Ayr United and then in September 2020 went on loan to Ross County before joining Dundee United on an emergency loan in April 2021 following an injury to their 1st choice keeper. In August 2021 Ross moved to Tranmere Rovers who made the loan permanent in July 2022.

Ross signed a new 4 year contract with Celtic Ross moved on loan to Ayr United in July 2018 making his senior debut on 14 July 2018 in a Scottish League Cup game against former club Greenock Morton, making 47 appearances as Ayr challenged for promotion to the top flight.

Having played for Ayr United for the whole of the 2018–19 Ayr re-signed Celtic’s Ross Doohan on loan after what manager Ian McCall described as a “remarkable” Scottish Championship campaign by the goalkeeper last term.

Ross has also represented Scotland at various youth international levels and was part of the Scotland U21 side that netted an impressive 2-1 victory away to Croatia in May 2019, playing the entire match as Scot Gemmill’s side recorded back to back wins at the start of their Group 4 qualifying campaign.
